A Minute of Video Is Worth 1.8 Million Words. No wonder why videos are so sought-after nowadays - and this, especially in marketing. So why not harness this force and use it to sell more homes?
YouTube and its network of over a billion users are here to help you boost the potential of your business. Not only is YouTube a highly effective way to market your listings - it's also great way to gain knowledge and make yourself a name in your industry.
Because there is not only one way of using this medium, I have binge-watched YouTube searching for the most inspiring content out there.
Jessica's channel is simply awesome. She makes great use of different types of real estate videos and shows that you don't need the best camera out there to make quality videos. In fact, half the time, she simply films herself talking about different topics in her car, between two listing visits. Besides this, I definitively recommend checking out the home tour videos she shoots to promote her listings - they're pretty amazing.
Don't be misled by the number of followers she has on her channel - Jana posts awesome content and clearly deserves a bunch more. One thing I love about her videos is that she shows just how important it is to be committed and caring with your leads. In a similar way to Jessica, she handles very well the different types of real estate videos there are out there and offers refreshing 'on the go' talks. As a 'plus': she always makes her videos a bit more personal by sharing stories and observations - which makes it all the more relatable.
Anton Stetner created his channel with the purpose to take your career to the next level. Though he doesn't seem to be posting on YouTube anymore, scrolling trough his old videos was pretty fun. He makes sure to post diverse content which he makes personal by including more shots of his family. The messages he delivers are always simple, to the point and full of juicy tips to take-away. Keep an eye out for his '100 Listings in 100 Days' videos!
Chris Donaldson - and in particular his #OfficeHours series - are here to help you improve and grow your real estate business. Chris is an amazing speaker and tackles really relevant topics in a laid-back atmosphere. The thing I most enjoyed about this is that he films his #OfficeHours videos live to be able to answer any questions his audience might have - how awesome is that?!
Deric's channel is great, especially for his videos on expired listings cold calls. Instead of just explaining how to turn a 'no' into a 'yes', he picks up the phone and films himself doing it himself - what better way to learn than to see it being done? He takes the whole teaching process a step further and shows practical examples of how things should be done. I must say that he is by far the BEST at expired listing cold calls!
Kevin's oldest video on youtube dates 6 years back. How insane is that - 6 years of posting video content regularly. That takes a lot of dedication! Kevin's videos are full of actionable advice and he covers literally all the questions you might have as a new (and even not so new) realtor. He makes sure to make his messages clear, personal and sets himself as an example to follow for his dedication and professionalism at all times.
Chastin's videos do a great job at giving anyone interested in real estate a clear idea of what it really is like to become a realtor. His videos, for their genuine feel, are super refreshing and a pleasure to watch: definitively a must-follow for anyone looking to become an agent.
Jeff Manson and Frank Klesitz have a great thing going on on Youtube: the Real Geeks Youtube channel. Watching these videos does require a bit of time on your hand but is definitively worth every second. The cool thing about their channel is that they bring on awesome guests whom all have a different story to tell and new tips to share.
If you only have 2 minutes to spare and are in the need for a motivational boost, Wayne's 'Be Your Own Hero' series is probably the answer. In his videos, he mixes classic 'vlog' footage with a strong message he delivers. A lot of positive vibes and a good insight on the routine of a successful realtor.
If you're new in real estate, Loida is here to give you awesome tips to get you started. In her videos, she is always makes sure to be reassuring and is inspiring for how hard-working and focussed she is. The advice she gives is always short, actionable and to the point. A great example of this? Her 'Real Estate Agent On the Go: Must Have Essentials' video.
Mainly focussing on helping real estate investors, Mark's channel is great for the quantity of resources he gives you. It's particularly his 'Fix and Flip' series that I loved on his channel for the fact that you get to follow the evolution of the houses he flips.
Bryan absolutely loves beautiful cars - and his videos are here to teach you how to get your very own thanks to real estate. In order to do so, he gives you top tips to achieve your real estate goals and to improve your overall mindset. Bryan is inspiring because he embodies the idea that you can achieve just about anything if you work hard enough for it.
With their 24 221 videos, Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC have successfully managed to turn around what once was a marketing budget cut into a powerful way to engage with their clients. The key in doing so? Encouraging their agents to post videos on YouTube. What I found particularly interesting was their capacity to create a personal connexion with their audience. More recently, they have been posting videos on new home technologies, which have been really fun to discover.
Renowned for their listing tours, Corcoran post amazing quality videos. What particularly stands out is not the quality of the images but simply the quality of their story-telling. I completely fell in love with their INHABIT series of videos, which focusses on the art of living through genuine storytelling. In other words, they focus on filming short videos of creative people in their 'safe place'.
Do you have an hour to spare and are interested in becoming a real estate investor? Then BiggerPockets has the perfect podcast for you! Every week, they have 'quiiick' tips to give you and invite interesting guests with different stories and strategies to share. To discover what all this is about: head to their channel, sit back and enjoy the talk.
Pro tip: When I don't have a free hour ahead of me, I cut the episode into two 30-to-40-minute talks which I listen to on my way to and back from work. A great way to start and end my day!
With his crowd of 53 509 followers, it is highly likely that you have already heard of Tom Ferry's YouTube channel. He is a real estate coach whom helps you boost your business' success by giving you strategic advice. The one thing I enjoy most about Tom's channel is his #TomFerryShow videos he posts every week. In them, Tom simply breaks down any questions you might have into structured, bullet-point-style advice.
